Save the Date and Call for Abstracts: WCET®-NSWOCC® Joint Congress 2026

We are delighted to announce the upcoming WCET®-NSWOCC® Joint Congress, scheduled to take place from April 24-28, 2026, at the Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver, British Columbia. This global event will bring together leaders in wound, ostomy, and continence care worldwide to exchange knowledge and foster collaboration.


Call for Abstracts

The Scientific Committee invites you to submit abstracts for both oral and poster presentations on topics including wound care, ostomy management, continence care, education, and leadership. Abstract submissions open on May 2, 2025, and the deadline for submissions is October 6, 2025. Notification of acceptance will be sent by November 10, 2025.


Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be between 200-300 words in English.

  • All submissions must be made online via our official submission system online by clicking here. Abstracts sent via email will not be accepted.

  • Authors may submit multiple abstracts, with a maximum of six authors per abstract.

  • Industry submissions are limited to poster presentations only, with a maximum of seven submissions per company using generic product names.



Important Dates

  • Online submission opens: May 2, 2025

  • Submission deadline: October 6, 2025

  • Notification of acceptance: November 10, 2025

  • Registration for the Joint Congress will open by September 25, 2025


Oral Abstract Submission Details:

  • Presentation Format: Oral presentations will be delivered via PowerPoint. A congress-specific PowerPoint template will be provided. All PowerPoint slides must be displayed in English, even if the speaker presents in another language.

  • Submission of Presentations: Presentations must be submitted for review by January 10, 2026, to ensure that they meet the congress’s guidelines.

  • Duration: Oral presentations will be allocated 12 minutes for the presentation, followed by questions from the audience.


Poster Abstract Submission Details:

  • Poster Size: Posters should be printed on A0-sized paper in a portrait orientation (4 feet by 8 feet / 1.2192 meters by 2.4384 meters).

  • Language: All posters must be in English.
